Gosia Walton is an artist based in Edinburgh that I met a few years ago, when she made friends with Anaïs while studying at ECA.
We talked about designing a website that would showcase the work she was doing using plexiglass. I decided to play with parallax and opacity to echo her use of transparency.
The first panel is animated (HTML5 video) that conveys through image and sound a lot of what her art is about and made of, the following panels slide, sometimes pushing each-others, sometime overlapping. The website is responsive and meant to provide a playful UX, inviting the user to re-size their browser and scroll up and down to discover more of the photos, or different compositions.
Visit gosiawalton.github.io on a desktop or tablet in landscape mode to discover some of her work, and play with parallax.
